Kaptain Carbon The Way of the Pilgrim continues Dirges exploration in what sounds like Saturday evenings in front of a CRT monitor playing a biblical fantasy computer game. Dirge expands on the initial interest in chip based spiritual music from fleeting novelty into full blown obsession. Favorite track: The Way of a Pilgrim - 1 / The Anaphora for the Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great.

about

Го́споди, Иису́се Христе́, Сы́не Бо́жий, поми́луй меня́ гре́шнаго.

1 - On the twenty-fourth Sunday after Pentecost I went to church to say my prayers there during the liturgy. The first Epistle of St. Paul to the Thessalonians was being read, and among other words I heard these "Pray without ceasing." It was this text, more than any other, which forced itself upon my mind, and I began to think how it was possible to pray without ceasing, since a man has to concern himself with other things also in order to make a living.
2 - In this blissful state I passed more than two months of the summer.
3 - The officer tells his story about battling against the passion of drunkenness.
4 - Nothing broke into it, and it never stopped even for a single moment.
5 - The Pilgrim walks all night through the rain to church for the Feast of the Annunciation.
6 - A knapsack with some dried bread in it on my back, and in my breast pocket a Bible.
7 - Candid Narratives of a Pilgrim to His Spiritual Father.
